Intrauterine Insemination

At Bansal IVF, our diagnostic and fertility lab plays a key role in identifying the most effective path to parenthood. For many couples, IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) is one of the first steps in assisted conception. From fertility testing to semen preparation, our lab ensures every detail is handled with precision and care—where science meets compassion to support your fertility journey.

An IUI specialist is a fertility doctor with advanced training in reproductive medicine, particularly skilled in timed insemination techniques to help couples conceive. They diagnose and treat infertility issues in both men and women—from irregular ovulation and PCOS to mild male factor infertility and unexplained fertility challenges. By offering personalized IUI treatment plans, they support your journey toward parenthood with care and precision.

At Bansal IVF, our dedicated team of fertility experts offers personalized IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) services tailored to your unique needs. With a collaborative team that includes reproductive medicine specialists, andrologists, diagnostic experts, and skilled lab technicians, we ensure that every step of your IUI treatment is handled with precision and care. Our seamless coordination and compassionate support make us a trusted choice for couples exploring IUI as a first-line fertility treatment. Many gynecologists and general practitioners refer patients to our clinic, confident in our ability to deliver accurate fertility evaluations and evidence-based IUI solutions that improve the chances of conception.

If IUI doesn’t align with your specific fertility needs, we provide full transparency and guide you toward more advanced treatments such as IVF or ICSI. Our goal is not just successful outcomes, but making sure you feel supported, informed, and confident at every step. That’s why Bansal IVF continues to be one of the region’s most trusted names in fertility care—recommended by patients, physicians, and fertility experts alike.

  • If you're struggling with irregular periods or ovulation, a reproductive endocrinologist will evaluate your hormone levels, identify the underlying issue, and may recommend IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) to improve the chances of timed conception.
  • When male fertility concerns arise—such as low sperm count or reduced motility—an andrologist or embryologist will assess sperm quality and suggest whether IUI with sperm preparation can optimize fertilization outcomes.
  • For couples facing unexplained infertility, a fertility specialist will explore all possible contributing factors and may advise starting with IUI as a low-risk, accessible treatment option before considering more complex procedures.

IUI is a fertility treatment where washed and concentrated sperm are placed directly into the uterus around the time of ovulation to improve the chances of pregnancy.

IUI is often recommended for:

  • Unexplained infertility
  • Mild male factor infertility
  • PCOS or irregular ovulation
  • Cervical mucus issues
  • Use of donor sperm

Unlike IVF, eggs are not retrieved in IUI. Fertilization happens inside the body, not in a lab. IUI is less invasive and more affordable than IVF.

The procedure is generally painless. You may feel mild cramping, similar to a pap smear or period discomfort.

The insemination takes only a few minutes. The entire cycle—including monitoring and ovulation tracking—may last 2–3 weeks.

Success varies by age, fertility issue, and treatment plan. On average, IUI success rates are 10–20% per cycle, and higher after multiple cycles.

Not always. Some cycles are natural, while others use medications like Clomid or gonadotropins to stimulate ovulation for better timing and results.
